Kyoto Gardens, London

The Kyoto Gardens is a wonderful, very small haven within central London. It’s a small portion of Holland Park very close to Notting Hill and provides a small glimpse of Japanese manicured gardens.  It was designed and built by a Japanese garden designer to celebrate the Japan Festival in London in 1992 and was a joint effort between the Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and the Kyoto Chamber of Commerce.

With a wonderful pond, waterfall and beautiful peacocks it is an ideal escape from the hustle and bustle…unless you’re there on the weekend…then it is as busy as any other place in London, so time your visit wisely 🙂

And the wonderful peacocks…I did not even know they flew and hung out in trees! Stunning wonderful creatures. I’ll be back when it’s mating season to see them splay their feathers in full as they court the females.

A wonderful tranquil waterfall flowing into the pond.

Overall a lovely discovery in London filled with little creatures.
